What we do
The NEC Hub serves as a focal point for citizen-led budget advocacy in the region, leveraging regional and county-specific insights to influence policy and budgetary decisions that support equitable development across Kenya’s counties.
Bajeti Hub, formerly known as IBP Kenya (International Budget Partnership Kenya), is a Kenyan-based organization that focuses on promoting transparency, accountability, and public participation in budget processes. Its primary goal is to empower citizens, civil society organizations (CSOs), and other stakeholders to actively engage in public financial management (PFM) at both national and county levels.
Capacity Building

Bajeti Hub provides training to budget advocates, community groups and government officials to enhance their understanding of PFM processes, including budget formulation, execution, monitoring, and oversight.
Budget advocacy

The Hub supports advocacy initiatives to ensure that budget decisions reflect the needs and priorities of citizens, particularly marginalized groups such as Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and low-income communities.
Public participation

Bajeti Hub believes that anyone and everyone should engage with/in budgets, thus it facilitates meaningful citizen engagement in the budget process, empowering communities to influence budgetary decisions through tools like budget analysis, public forums and advocacy campaigns. They further develop easy tools that can guide citizens in understanding what decision is being made at a particular moment.
Research and analysis

The organization conducts in-depth research on budget trends, allocations, and spending at both national and county levels. It shares findings with stakeholders to promote evidence-based advocacy.
Collaboration and Networking

Bajeti Hub partners with regional budget hubs (such as the NEC Regional Budget Hub) and other organizations to strengthen grassroots advocacy and foster collaboration between citizens, CSOs, and government officials.
Focus on equity

The Hub prioritizes inclusive budgeting by advocating for fair resource allocation, particularly in areas such as health, education, infrastructure, and social protection, ensuring that the needs of vulnerable populations are addressed.
